Michael Rabin  current  chronology cv

Michael I. Rabin, M.D., M.B.A. serves as a Director of International Angel-Investors Institute (IAI) - Silicon Valley and also serves as President of its Ohio Chapter.  IAI is an educational forum to mentor high net worth individuals in angel investing and to work with entrepreneurs in developing deals;   see www.angelinvestors.org -Silicon Valley parent org. site, www.neoangels.net -Ohio site.  Mike is also an investor in and has been an advisor to Angel Capital Network in Silicon Valley, an investment bank for seed and early-stage deals.  In addition, Mike is an active angel investor in directly seeding and managing a number of biomedical and healthcare IT deals. Mike is formally trained in computer science and has 10 years of full time medical management experience. His medical management career was most notable for his ability to organize physicians and to develop and apply cutting-edge information technology to substantially improve the quality and efficiency of medical business processes.  For example, through the late 80's and early ‘90s, before pathology practice management companies were even in vogue, he used these skills to engineer a logarithmic growth plan for Bayless-Pathmark, Inc., a private practice pathology group in Northeast Ohio, bringing it from 2 pathologist-owners at a single hospital to 18 pathologist-owners at 11 hospitals, and establishing it as the dominant provider of anatomic pathology services in the region and one of the largest practices of its kind in the U.S. prior to his exit to pursue other investments.  Mike earned both his medical degree and business degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio and has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from The College of Wooster, Wooster Ohio.  See http://www.ahti.net/prnc.htm for more detail of past professional experience.
